Ellen has been with St. Peters since 2008 in the infant room. She has been married since 1981! She and her husband have three grown children. Ellen attended Catholic school all through her childhood and they both have been parishioners at St. Peters since they moved to Birmingham from Houston, TX. in 1996. Her favorite part about teaching is to see them grow and develop and to know that she is playing a part of what they will become. In her spare time, she enjoys doing crosswords, Sudoku and working part time at Weight Watchers.

Miss Cindy has been with St. Peters for six years and has experience teaching religious education for over 25 years with all ages. She teaches because it gives her so much joy to see the children learn and grow right before her eyes! Miss Cindy has one daughter and twin granddaughters. In her spare time, she enjoys being the co-coordinator of Religious Education at St. Peters. She also enjoys art and singing.


 

Lee Smith

Lee has been with St. Peters since 2009 and has over 30 years’ experience working with all ages. A mother of an only, she says she teaches because she love to see children grow and develop and to know that she had a part in that and says her goal is to keep teaching until she retires. In her spare time, when she isn’t working at JC Penny part time, she enjoys listening to jazz music, watching television, shopping, participating in church activities and spending quality time with her family.

Carolyn has over 16 years’ experience working with all ages and has been with St. Peters since March of 2015. She currently holds her CDA. She teaches because she loves to see children learn. It can also be fun and challenging at the same time but seeing the progress the children make at the end of the year is truly rewarding. She is the mother to one grown son. In her spare time, she enjoys being with her sisters, reading and serving the Lord.


Angie Walker

Angie has been at St Peters since October 2016. She has over 14 years’ experience working with all ages. She received her BS in Specific Learning Disabilities from Florida Southern College and graduated Cum Laude. She is the mother to an only child and is currently pursuing RCIA classes at St Peters. She says that she teaches because she enjoys watching them develop, learn new skills and become more and more independent each day.

Shun has been with St. Peters since 2005 and has worked with all ages. Raised by a single mother who is a minister, Shun in the older of two children. She says she teaches because she wants to make a positive difference in the next generation to help them grown into lifelong learners. She also wants to encourage them to become whatever they want to become. But most of all she wants to contribute to children the same way her teachers did with herself. In her spare time, she enjoys babysitting, shopping, reading and spending time with her family.

Angela has been with St. Peters since 2007. A mother of three and grandmother of the same, she has over ten years’ experience working with children of all ages. She says that she loves watching children develop from infants-toddlers. She especially loves watching their little personalities develop! In her spare time she enjoys playing tennis!

 


Rebecca Wiggins

Rebecca has been with St Peters since April 2016. She has over five years’ experience working with all ages. She is currently pursuing her BS in Early Childhood Education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Rebecca says that she teaches because it is very rewarding to see a child meet their individual goals. In her spare time, she enjoys doing crafts, taking dance classes and attending Alabama football games with her family.

Tara has been with St Peters since February 2016. A single mother of three, she has over ten years’ experience working with all ages.

 


Ramona Washington

Ramona has been at St. Peters since Nov. 2017 and has over 15 years’ experience working with children of all ages. She received her CDA from Lawson State Community College and hopes to return to school in the near future to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Education. In her spare time she enjoys, reading, shopping and helping others.

 


Brienna Kemp

Brienna has been with St. Peters since May 2017. She obtained her Associates degree in Health Science. She has experience working with children off all ages and says she teaches because she loves helping children learn new things. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors, writing, reading and attending church activities and says that God and her faith in Jesus Christ is her number one priority.

Enda has been with St. Peters since April 2016. Along with being a wife and mother, she has over 20 years’ experience working with preschool children. Enda has her Associates degree in Public Relations but says she feels that working with children is her calling. She enjoys seeing children explore, learn and develop skills as they grow and says her goal in life is to be a role model for each life she touches.

Leslie has been with St. Peters since Aug. 2015. Leslie received her Associates degree in Child Development from Jefferson State Community College. She has over six years’ experience working with two, three and four year olds. She is the middle of five children and has two dogs, Lola and Lexi. Leslie’s favorite thing about teaching is that she gets to see children grow and mature right before her eyes. In her spare time she enjoys being creative by refinishing furniture and doing crafts.

Kenya graduated from the University of Montevallo with a B.S. in Family and Consumer Science with a concentration in Child and Family Studies. She has over ten years’ experience working with all ages. In her spare time, she enjoys reading.


Rachel Themer

Rachel has been with St. Peter’s since 2016. She is married and has a dog, Chance and a cat, Monte. She holds a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Governor’s ​State University and one day hopes to pursue her Master’s degree. She has experience teaching 3 yr. olds – 2nd grade. She says that she teaches because she loves to see new skills develop in children and to be their first experience and impression of school. In he spare time, she enjoys shopping and cooking.

Miss RhaSheina has been with St. Peters since August 2014. She has over 16 years’ experience working with children ages 4-7. She holds a B.A. in Communication Disorders from Miles College and would like to eventually receive her MA is Education. She says she teaches because she gets joy from seeing the light in a child’s eyes when he or she masters a previously difficult task or learns a new subject. She has been married since 2011 and has a beautiful daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys journal writing, singing in the church choir and tutoring.


Aliyiah Minter

Aliyiah received her B.S. in Elementary Education from Alabama A&M University. She has been with St. Peters since October 2017. She has worked with children of all ages and in says that she teaches because she wants to help children understand that with education, they can go anywhere in life


 

Kristina Wildsmith

Kristina received her BS in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Child and Family Studies from the University of Montevallo. She has been with St. Peters since August 2016. She has over twenty years’ experience working with children of all ages. Over ten of those years have been in the supervisory role. She is the mother of two children and says her favorite thing about teaching is seeing the smiles on the children’s faces every day! In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and watching Auburn football!


 

Carol Easton

Carol has been with St. Peters since 1993 and has worked with all age groups. Originally from Indiana, Carol is the mother of two girls and grandmother to one. In her spare time she enjoys arts and crafts.

Tammy has been with St. Peters since December 2014. She had previously worked as a substitute teacher in the public school for many years before entering early childhood in 2003. Tammy has two grown children of her own as well as a one grandchild. She says that she teaches because she feels it is her ministry to teach children about Jesus and says that she would possibly like to become a Director one day. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and spoils her grandson whenever possible!

Mary has been with St. Peters since May of 2000! She has experience working with all ages. She says she loves children and wants to help them learn. She has been married since 1979 and has three children and seven grandchildren (who are very spoiled)! In her spare time she enjoys sewing.

Ale has been with St. Peters since 2006 and has worked with all ages. Her favorite part about teaching is that she enjoys watching them learn and have fun at the same time. She has been married since 2000 and is the mother of three girls! When she isn’t being a chauffeur for her girls’ busy schedules, she enjoys reading and working out.
